If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains, you are lucky enough.
When something bad happens, you have three choices: let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you.

I think I like been home.
So in the last 10 days I made pirogi 3 times - and before it was like, what, 9 months ago (it is pretty long and labor involved process) ? It sucks that I got sick, but still, beats going to work with fever (done regularly). My men love those and eat the whole big pot in one sit (so much for wasting two days). I am also able to watch my older son, as he struggles with identity and teen crisis and skipping classes. So I go to school and make sure he is in. Quite embarrassing, but this week had no trouble-making calls. My younger loves to come home not to an empty house and get help with homework. We took him to the Zoo - long-awaited visit. I am reading like crazy, 4 books down, 6 to go. I just wish I could run during light hours as planned...Minor set-back. I am planning to see how I feel at the gym tonight by doing some light aerobic, like stair-master or spin. Basically, I feel weak. As in get to the kitchen and get winded. I also lost 4 lbs - not a bad thing in itself, but considering the cause...No matter what, I am set for tomorrow's 15 miler with a few friends on Wildwood trail, so there. I am tired to be bed-ridden and need to get my legs back - I do have a job to do on 14th. Lets hope this forced taper will be good for me. As for getting back to work - I spoke to my boss today and asked him to start on 16th - want to have another week for myself. I don't think I ever had it before, and so far it is not happening:) What good about going part-time and to work for this guy is that he likes me and he doesn't care whether I work 4 hrs a day, every other day, every other week or whatever my heart desires. And this is in bioresearch institute! I like the flexibility part (and not sure about the half-money part, but heck, we only live once, and I am not taking it with me). So OK, dark thoughts come, but in general I am an optimist, and life is not all bad. In fact, life is good, a wonderful gift, and I try to live a day at a time to the fullest. Even if it means to get 2 hrs nap at noon!

Yes, life is good no matter what. Now I'll keep thinking abouth that, you are also a good writer, you should be such an interesting person.
Come on, you like to do 100s, you must like the dark thoughts too. ;) Embrace both night and day, or else the one you don't embrace will haunt you. Angie & I will see you at Zane Grey in April! Have you done it before?
