If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains, you are lucky enough.

When something bad happens, you have three choices: let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you.

Simply living

Of course, mountains are the biggest part of why we moved here, and what makes us tick. But we have some normal life, too. Like, neighbors, work, errands, and - it's back! - Patty Jewett Porchfest! It was such a fun thing to have it return, after a year of hiatus. To see people living, again, fully, not afraid to be together, to smile, to high-five, to smile at each other without covering it. Thank you, neighborhood association! More photos here, but below are my own.

We also did some running together, some tacos, some grilling, hanging out with out friends/neighbors, and even my mom got out of the house, while my sister made a trip to Black Sea for a mini-vacation. It's time to get on with living, folks. For real. In a meantime, we're off to the mountains, to celebrate our official dozen of years as a married couple:)
