If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains, you are lucky enough.

When something bad happens, you have three choices: let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you.

I am my father's daughter.

Just a statement. No, I am not willing to go deeply into discussion about how I feel, how it was, and what's the life holds next in that department. In order to protect myself I subconsciously refuse to talk about it to anybody but Larry and Tanya, and even that just on occasions. I thought writing would help me, but alas, may be not yet.

I am my father's daughter though, for sure. I sort of always knew that, and from time to time I was either proud of it or despised it, but mostly simple accepting it as a fact. It was just amazing to hear people talk about him - and hear people talk about me, whether behind my back (rumors travel) or in my face. The choice of words sealed so much in terms of how to describe certain traits, I was stunned -  in a good way.

I will share a new family photo that will most closely describe how we, the "girls left behind" feel.

From there - we will live on.

“to live in this world
you must be able
to do three things
to love what is mortal;
to hold it against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go”

And dream on.

IT REALLY COMES DOWN TO WHEN YOU'RE REALLY, DEEPLY HONEST WITH YOURSELF, YOU WILL ALWAYS DO THE THINGS THAT YOU MOST WANT TO DO. IF YOU DON'T LET FEAR HOLD YOU BACK, YOU CAN FIND THE INNER COURAGE TO TAKE THE RISK. Anish
