My Bikram

I had already written about my other love. I had a vision to share my Bikram yoga practice with y'all. Here is an example of the project. All photos taken by Larry (who has ideas of a better setting than our backyard).

  1. Beautiful! You could model a Bikram pose chart. I tried Bikram last year and there was much of it I liked - the heat, the repetition for instance. But something about the transitions in the seated portion tweaked out my lower back. I'd like to give it another try some time.

P.S. I went to animal athletics boot camp again today and told Yassine you said hi. :-)

    1. Sarah, I used to say in class if you have any back problem or simply tired, roll up instead of a power sit up. I hope you give it another try, it's actually good for back exactly, you know:)
Thanks, glad you're enjoying it too! I need me some bootcamp, if I can squeeze another thing in a day...

    2. A groupon for a hot yoga place not far from me just came up today so I bought it. Not officially Bikram but I can tell from the description that it is essentially the same thing. Guess I was meant to give it another try... :-)

  2. Wow. Great posture and flexibility! I'm a believer; it helps with trail running. Granted I've never tried Bikram - but these moves are classics in all types of yoga. Beautiful.

    1. Thank you. I feel that I lost so much since my running life has begun, but I absolutely believe in a joint benefits from one to another. Bikram teaches me patience and humility. Running teaches me to push beyond wanting to stop. They kind of work together:)

  4. Wow, Olga, I'm impressed. You look amazing doing those hard poses. Keep it up. I think I will try it again. I need to get some flexibility into my body!
