If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains, you are lucky enough.

When something bad happens, you have three choices: let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you.

My monastery

Cold at the start

Trail to Devil's rest

Trying to pick for a view from mid-way up to Devil's

Adrien's doing "puppy-run" - go out fast, come back to slow me

He was dang unhappy about that 5M steep gravel road downhill I used for my last training test. I know, it sucks. But it's good breakdown of ankles, knees and quads:) This picture of last road piece doesn't do a justice on the previous miles (especially those last 2 - yikes!).

Another climb - to Angel's Rest (rocks formation far in a view) via Bridal Veil

Angels' Rest and gel stop - can't you say I am still trying to swallow?

One mile to the car. 16 miles and some 3500 feet of gain on a beautiful day in a beautiful Gorge. Last run in the Gorge till November. I am looking forward to easy explorations there during winter time and sharing my passion for this most wonderful place in Universe. Come over, join in!

Nikki's interview - a great view on training.

Looks like a great run Olga! Hope your hip is feeling better now. I'm going to attempt one more training run up in he Cascades before the snow flies. I'm hoping to get Rob to join me but he does not know that yet. There is a 17 mile loop from Corral Pass that goes way back into the wilderness. Corral Pass is the top of the first loop of White River 50M.

Would love to join you for a run at the Gorge some day.

Cheers!

There you were, going through Heaven and Hell in the same 28 hours, just like your life. Never a dull moment in the life of an Ultrarunner and a Bear, Congrats.
