Everything there is to know about Black Saturday.

Ladies and Gents,
Bob "The Beast" Lynes and Co. proudly present - pictures of the last Black Saturday!

This is what the "hill" looks like.

I don't know about you, but after second repeat - I am dead, finito, out...

May be I'll live after all:)

Half-group portrait - OK, I don't owe any black top, but I do wear black shorts!

If you ever wonder why we do it - this is why! And in the front - Mike Bushwhacker, my partner in pain.

By the way, Beast is the perfect example to who I want to grow up into. You know, while we're young(er), a big reason for our running, racing and such is soothing our own ego (admit it). Where will we be in a few years? Bob lives trails. Spends days there. Comes to events and either helps out or runs them, despite sometimes coming DFL (Dead F* Last). Can your love survive aging?

You still need to grow up? Ok, I know what you mean. Aging gracefully - that is at lease as much a challenge as an ultra.

DFL - I love it!!!

Oh, I am so jealous of those trees

Why don't you ever look that tired when we run together? Am I just so slow that I don't challenge you enough? Ha Ha! Are you ready to leave for Zane yet or what?

Sweet sweet trail.

Great photos! Thanks for sharing.

Oh yeah... and DFL made me laugh!

Interesting question, Rob...After 130-some races I only looked like that in short ones (especially a mile in 6:20 in 2003). I think I train for ultras harder than I race them.

What a beautiful place to run! What's the story with the black shirts anyway?

Just read your previous post... incredible, you are such an inspiration. Time and again I've had those doubts, about genetics, about just not being "right" for running. You remind us what it's all about.

Thank you so much.

Hi Olga, I just read your post about how you become in to who you are now. It is a wonderful post, that awakes my hope and make me feel confident about what I am doing, thanks a lot!

Love to see your photos, hope you can include some from Zane Grey!
