Weekend at home

It is great to be home, in quiet...I envy runners. I see them everywhere. I never even considered myself a runner, remember? I am a hiker and a downhiller - and I suddenly want to run. I haven't run a step since CC100. I've never been off for so long before, even with stress fractures I only took a week. But I got my cortisone shot. And this Saturday I will be at the starting line...

I hope your feeling all better and I know by the time you get to AC you will be good to go. Stay rested and keep you hip in line out there!

Good to see you've taken the necessary time off to rest and heal. It will make the come back all that much sweeter. Enjoy the race!

Yup another starting line for another great and crazy race. I'll be thinking of you this weekend. You sure like to keep your friends at the edge of their seats.

Remember Stephen Goldmann? He's organizing a few friends for a run in Marin, I suggested that whatever route we took that we should end up at the Marin Brewing Company and take the Ferry ride home:) So I'm probably going to be running with these folks while thinking of you running your big race. If we end up at the brewing company I'll even toss down a pint for you, no need to thank me:)

I'd carry you on my back to the finish if that's what it would take. Well, at least in my dreams. ;) We are going to have a great time this weekend. Keep resting.

Cortisone in the hip? Aye caramba! I'm sure it was memorable...

I can't believe that you didn't consider yourself a runner, that's just crazy talk. Makes me a couch potato in comparison.

Good luck this weekend! I must be outta the loop, but what's this weekend?

Okay, duh, Angeles Crest. My memory is whack.

Quiet weekends are good weekends. But then, so are busy, exciting ones! Good luck at the race and have a typical, fabulous Olga-time!

You know what to do, Olga, listen to your body. You'll do whatever you can, whatever is within you. Most of all, have fun!

You got stress fractures too?! In the words of the internet gods...OMGWTF!?

Unlike you though, I've sat on my lumpy butt trying to let my body heal itself...and it's a miserable, twitchy feeling for sure! I wanna run sooooooooo bad...

Hope your healing goes better.
